Relaxing Kawa Hot Bath at La Escapo, Tibiao, Antique

Kawa Hot Bath
Kawa Hot Bath is prominent and one of the must tried in Antique. Most of the mountain resorts offering this kind of service are situated in Tuno, Municipality of Tibiao, 30 to 40 minutes travel from Culasi, Antique. Kawa Hot Bath is an old style of warm bath which uses a “Kawa” or a gigantic wok that serves as a bath tub. Instead of using a heater, woods are being used to create a fire to heat up the water and then sprinkled with ornamental and medicinal plants for a relaxing experience and for a fairer skin. La Escapo Mountain Resort is the perfect spot to experience Kawa Hot Bath because of their geographical location. Not only that, extreme water tubing can also be tried.

Roxas City is the capital of Capiz Province – the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines” situated in Western Visayas. If you are in Panay Island, it is highly recommend visiting Roxas City to witness and experience the heritage sites in the modern generation. The province has the most controversial and awaited annual festivity in the Philippines – the “Aswang Festival.” Politically, the city is prominent because it is the hometown of the late Philippine President Manuel A. Roxas. To complete my Western Visayas list, I listed the “9 Must Visit Tourist Destinations in Roxas City, Capiz.”

The Beauty of Western Visayas: A solo-backpacking

Tourist Spots in Western Visayas
From Roxas Airport, I rode in a tricycle to my first destination - Panay Church. Travel Time: 23 minutes. Fare: 200 pesos. ETA: 7:30 AM. Upon arrival, I easily felt the cool and fresh air blowing. Also, noticed an event banner hanging by the side of the church, thus, as a respect, I did not check the entire part of the Panay Church, including the largest bell on top. However, I stayed in the area for an hour and thirty minutes. Had my breakfast at 7-11, in front of the church, while starring on its gorgeous facade.

Kaparkan Falls
Social media sites and travel blogs helped Kaparkan Falls to be one of the top destinations in the North. It is situated in the Municipality of Tineg, Province of Abra, part of the Cordillera Administrative Region. Traveling from Manila to Bangued, the capital of Abra, is more than 8 hours. Plus, another 2 -3 hours off road to Sitio Kaparkan - the jump off. As I always say: "time is just a number" but the reward will be a breathtaking and a stunning body of water - the majestic Kaparkan Falls!

Mt. Timbak and the vegetable terraces

Mt. Timbak
I've been hearing from friends that Mt. Timbak and Mt. Tabayoc are just two of the must hiked mountains in the Cordilleras. In terms of altitude, Timbak has 2,717 MASL and garnered an easy trail class - which I think is true. Among the provinces in CAR, Benguet is really a bomb and prominent to tourist, especially hikers, because of its rich forested mountain slopes, hike on relaxing ambiance and a beauty that can only be found in nature, plus a glimpse of the local livelihood.

Maniwaya Island, Marinduque | The heart of the Philippines

Maniwaya Island
Let's accept the reality that when Boracay island was closed, the other comparable beaches were recognized - Maniwaya Island in Marinduque is one of those. The province of Marinduque is considered the heart of the Philippine archipelago and the neighbor of my hometown - Romblon. Gorgeous images of this island spread on social media which captured my interest. There's fine white sand beaches, amazing landscape, crystal clear water, vast diversity of underwater creatures and many more; photos below will explain more.

Historical Churches in Rizal, plus Pililla Wind Farm

Visita Iglesia 2018
I have been planning to visit the historical and century old churches in Pasig and the province of Rizal and the plan became a reality; today is the perfect day and the perfect season. It is my Visita Iglesia 2018 in a backpacking style. My itinerary started from the oldest church in Pasig, then the oldest Marian church in Cainta, St. John the Baptist in Taytay, and stunning Tanay Church with Baroque architecture. And to close our good Friday adventure, we visited the gigantic Pililla Wind Farm, also in Rizal.

Alibijaban and Burias Island Contact

Alibijaban and Burias Island
Alibijaban Island and Burias Island is really a paradise! It's been three weeks when we visited these islands and I still can't move on and forget its beautiful landscape. Traveling and backpacking was remarkable because it's really long and tiring, but you will be rewarded with a picture perfect and breathtaking place. Mt. Batulao with its Breathtaking Slopes

Mt. Batulao Tourist Spots in Batangas
Mt. Batulao is one of the famous hiking destinations in Batangas for those people searching for challenges and outdoor adventures. This mountain is another gem and pride of Southern Luzon which is 2-3 hours travel from the Manila, very accessible to both private and public vehicles.  Batulao is famous because of the breathtaking view of its ranges and slopes. Its surface has an amazing shape covered with luscious and relaxing greens. Since it's just a few kilometeres away from Tagaytay, which is the usual side trip, its ambiance is really cool.

Crystal Clear water of Sombrero Island | Burias Island

Sombrero Island
Crossing the waters of Burias Passage from Tinalisayan to Sombrero was a heart pounding experience. Not only that, as we were getting nearer to the shoreline,  coral ecosystems and underwater flora and fauna are visible because of its clear waters. I took off my pink sando while on the boat because my skin hurts, a sign that, for sure, I will have sun kissed skin due to sun burn but it's fine, am positive that my skin will still recover after a week. Instead of covering myself or applying Belo sun block before jumping off the boat to the shallow water, we just grabbed our cameras and proceeded walking by the shore.

Fine White Sandbar of Tinalisayan | Burias Island

Tinalisayan Island
Tinalisayan Island was our second destination during our Alibijaban to Burias Islands escapade. Traveling from Animasola to this island takes an hour but among the three islands we visited (with Animasola and Sombrero Island) this is irrevocably number one. When I jumped off the boat and landed on the shallow crystal clear water, I easily felt the relaxing feeling because the water was really cool, a contrary to the heat and UV rays from the sun. Our boat was parked by the tip of the sandbar, so walking on the long stretch of a fine and powdery  white sand, with the other visitors on their colorful swimming attire, was just awesome! This long sandbar always greet the visitors with breathtaking beauty.

Gigantic Beauty of Animasola Island

Animasola Island
Animasola Island is one of the sun-drenched islets of Burias Group of Islands in San Pascual, Masbate. We traveled 3 hours via motorized banca from Alibijaban Island, San Andres, Quezon just to witness the magnificence of nature curved on the gigantic rock, perched into the water.  Just the journey itself while crossing the sea, with the huge waves, was remarkable. Our motorized banca was like hopping on and off the huge waves. From afar, Animasola looks ordinary, same as with the islets we've visited, however, as we were getting nearer, the view was just astounding because of its unique formation.

The Beauty of Alibijaban and Burias Islands

Alibijaban Island
Alibijaban (locally pronounced as Alibihaban) is a tourist island situated in San Andres, Quezon; a 9 to 10 hours travel from Manila. Mixed on the fine white sand are small living crustaceans and sea shells, sea shells by the sea shore. The cool emerald crystal clear water is rich with underwater bio-diversity, such as fish, colorful star fish in different sizes and appearance, and many more.

Laki Beach and the Five Fingers Bataan

Laki Beach Bataan
Breathtaking photos of Laki beach and Five Fingers in Bataan spread online; those were the reasons why we decided to celebrate JP's birthday at this paradise. When we were searching for an itinerary online, we're kept on getting stories about Attorney. Who is Attorney?? Until now, already witnessed the beauty but the question remains unanswered. What we remember are the gift, the wealth, the magnificent, and the spectacular landscape of Laki Beach and the Five Fingers. Photos below will explain.

Ang Tarik | Hiking Mt. Tarak Ridge

Mt. Tarak
Mt. Tarak is one of the top destinations in Bataan for hikers. This mountain has a good combination of breathtaking beauty, an elegant skyline, a cool and temperate weather and abundant with flora and fauna. By the way, my first walk on its trails was on September 2012, click here for our journey; after five years, I am here again. Our journey is totally different because last time, it was wet season and this time is super dry.
