About Casaroro Falls
Hidden in the highlands of Valencia, Negros Oriental, Casaroro Falls is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the Visayas. Towering at around 100 feet, its powerful cascade plunges into a natural pool surrounded by thick rainforest, making it a favorite spot for adventurers and nature lovers. Reaching the falls requires a trek down steep trails and countless steps, but the reward is an awe-inspiring view and a refreshing escape into nature.
To experience its beauty, I had to go backpacking to visit the Casaroro Falls location. Situated outside Dumaguete City, a 20-30-minute travel, this beautiful waterfall is hidden in the forest area of Valencia. Not only that, getting to the waterfalls will be fun because tourists must walk on concrete pathways before reaching this majestic waterfall. The area has tall hardwood trees, so visitors are protected from harmful UV rays. Also, as you walk on the trails, you will quickly feel the relaxing vibe because of the cool and fresh air blowing.
How to Get to Casaroro Falls
By Air: Book a flight from Manila to Dumaguete City. Air Asia, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines have regular flights to DGT Airport. Ride a tricycle from the airport to the jeepney terminal bound for Valencia. Then, ride in a jeepney and alight at the Valencia jeepney terminal. Lastly, a motorcycle can be rented to tourist destinations in Valencia.
