Another island destination in Quezon is Dampalitan Island. It captured the eyes of so many travelers because of its fine white sand shoreline, crystal clear waters and stunning sunset. Its name was derived from Dampalit or "shoreline purslane" in English (Sesuvium Portulacastrum) which is a type of a perennial herb that grows in the coastal areas throughout the world, which is also visible in this Island.  According to the caretaker, they can actually create a sumptuous salad out of this herb.

This generation, in just one click, you can easily see what to expect from a certain spot. Online, we found an itinerary for Kwebang Lampas and Puting Buhangin. Its beauty was intriguing because of its fine white sand shoreline, crystal clear waters and the ambiance seems to be relaxing. Situated in Padre Burgos, a four to five hours land travel from Manila, this destination is considered as one of the gems of the province of Quezon.

HIKING GUIDE: Mt. Banahaw, Quezon

To plant more trees, that's our main purpose of our hike. We chose Mt. Banahaw because we want to see and preserve its hidden and majestic beauty. Though, it is hard to trek due to its terrain that is on a rain-forest, it is one of the must hiked mountains because it has a healthy biodiversity, both plants and animals. Dubbed as the "Holy Mountain," Banahaw bears a trail with a very calm ambiance. Reaching the summit and heading back to the jump off can give you lifetime and unforgettable experience.

RIZAL TRAVEL GUIDE: 3B Rest House, Antipolo City

Planning to go out of town but how far is out of town? Though, it's a one to two hours land travel from Metro Manila, we chose 3B Resort in Antipolo, Rizal because we thought that it has a relaxing ambiance and a pool with the view of Manila's golden skyline. Since it is situated on the mountainous part, the wind is relaxing, cool and fresh.

HIKING GUIDE: Mt. Cristobal, Quezon

There are so many mountains to hike in Luzon; Mt. Cristobal is one of the famous because of the the countless stories, rumors and legends about "ghost" and other extra terrestrial events. As a result, the title "devil's mountain" was given to this pride of Quezon. Aside from those, Cristobal also hides an amazing terrains, surrounded with a dense forest areas. There are mosses, ferns and orchids hanging on the branches, a proof that this wildlife sanctuary is still preserved. Also, the ambiance and weather is cool because its stands 1,470 MASL. 

HIKING GUIDE: Mt. Binacayan

Mt. Binacayan
Another famous mountain in Rodriguez, Rizal is Mt. Binacayan, a small but tiring to hike because of its terrain. Though, separated by Wawa River from Mt. Pamitinan, they almost have the same features in terms of the difficulty and trails types. There are fruit bearing trees, shrubs that bloom like ornaments, and the lullabies from birds can be heard. You will be certified as a "revel in trekking" because of the rock climbing and scrambling on the boulders and limestone cliffs with sharp edges.

Wawa Dam was built by the American to be a water reservoir; this area was chosen because it's a catch basis of the three mountains. One of these is Mt. Hapunang Banoi, a dwarf and a hiking friendly mountain which can give you a tantalizing view of nature's beauty. Together with Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Binacayan, Banoi is one of must hiked mountains in the area because it is also surrounded by luscious green trees, which makes the area looks relaxing. Plus, the exhilarating terrains added an adventure to hikers.

It's been a long time since we planned to visit Wawa Dam and hike the twin mountains, for some reasons, it resulted to "drawing." Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Binacayan became famous to hiking enthusiasts because of it's accessibility from Manila. Hiking these two is bit challenging but can give you an amazing and wide view of greens surrounding Wawa Dam and part of the Sierra Madre mountains. These mountains are famous because of the legend, according to stories: Bernardo Carpio used his super power to separate these two mountains. As a result, there's a space in between them, where Wawa Dam is situated.

The province of Rizal has a lot to offer, from arts, crafts, food, rivers and mountains. When we saw the gorgeous photos of Mt. Daraitan, we thought that it's a perfect place to relax and re-energized with positivity that nature possesses. Hiking this mountain and crossing the Tinipak River can definitely give you a unique experience because the place is surrounded with relaxing greens and the sound of the rushing water by the river preserves the tranquility.

Aside from the marble products, Romblon has a lot of gorgeous and breathtaking beaches waiting to be discovered. In the world of mountaineering, Mt. Guiting-guiting is famous for its majestic beauty  and listed as one of the most difficult mountains to climb in the Philippines. Though, garnered a nine over nine rating in terms of difficulty, Mt. Guiting-guiting hides an unspoiled beauty and has a vast diversity of flora and fauna. Plus, the trekking this forested mountains slopes can provide a great hiking experience.


Tinago Falls
Biliran has a wide forested areas where the breathtaking waterfalls are hidden, one of these is Tinago Falls. Its name derived from a Filipino word “tinago” which literally translates to “hidden” in English. Well, it is not hidden anymore because its beauty already captured the eyes and attention of countless tourists and visitors online. The Tinago Falls is one of the must visit waterfalls in Kaibiran because there's unlimited flow of crystal clear and cool waters, and the pressure of the water falling is perfect for a whole body massage. The ambiance is cool and relaxing. it is surrounded with enormous rocks and boulders with trees on the side.   Other waterfalls in Biliran that can be visited are the Recoletos Falls and Condol Falls.


Ulan-ulan Falls
It's very seldom to hear about the province of Biliran; without googling it, you will definitely not see the beauty hiding in this island province. Situated in the Municipality of Almeria, Ulan-Ulan Falls is one of the majestic waterfalls hidden in the wide forested areas of the province. It's name was derived from the Filipino word “ulan” or “rain” because of the mist created by the pressure of the water falling. There's a cool and crystal clear waters while the area is surrounded by luscious greens which preserves the relaxing ambiance.


Binurong Point
Catanduanes is doesn't end with the title "The Happy Island," they  also hide stunning and gorgeous tourist destinations in Bicolandia. One of these is the instagram worthy Binurong Point, an open and wide area with a panoramic view of the pacific, gorgeous the rolling hills and spectacular view of the sunset. Why you should include Binurong Point on your must visit list in Bicol? Why not, it has a cool and relaxing ambiance with a cool sea breeze, the slopes of the hills were perfectly shaped by the nature, there' are gigantic rock formation, and calming sound of the waves can make your day a lazy day. This area is definitely a perfect spot for photo shoots, especially those pre-nups, because it is so romantic.

Hiking Mt. Halcon | Oriental Mindoro

Mindoro Oriental is famous for their fine white sand beaches and diving sites, such as Puerto Galera and Sabang, but did you know that they also have Mt. Halcon, one of the giants and hardest mountains to climb in the Philippines? Though, this mountain garnered a nine over nine rating in terms of difficulty, it's been part of my list of must hiked mountains because of its hidden and majestic beauty. Mt. Halcon has a combination of the difficult trails, wealthy rain forest, vast diversity of plans and animals, spooky stories, and unpredictable weather condition which can bring a remarkable hiking experience.

Nilandingan Cove, Cagbalete Island | BHM at 9

Nilandingan Cove
Batang Hamog Mountaineers celebrated its 9th anniversary at  the farthest resort in Cagbelete Island, Quezon Province. Though, it's a 4-5 hours land travel from Manila, we chose Nilandingan Cove because we thought that it has a big picture of beauty at its finest. From afar, we were greeted by the long stretch of fine white sand shoreline with the greens on the side. Upon arrival, we discovered that Nilandingan Cove is not just about the shoreline, it also has crystal clear and cool waters, lovely cottages, and relaxing ambiance.
