1. The Pink Beach or Subic Beach
Our arrival at the stunning Subic Beach or Matnog, Sorsogon was around 11:30 AM. I was excited because, from afar, we easily recognized the long stretch of white sand shoreline with quaint cottages and tourists sunbathing. As we were getting nearer and nearer and nearer to the coastline, what we were seeing were boats parked by the beach. Children and other tourists were swimming between the boats - that scene was not so picture-perfect. Instead of mingling with the crowd, I and Tin proceeded to the area with fewer people.
2. Juag Lagoon Marine Sanctuary
Juag Lagoon Marine Sanctuary is a lagoon, which is obvious in its name, right? The water in the lagoon is crystal clear and serves as the sanctuary of colorful underwater creatures, such as the gigantic Lapu-Lapu and other fish. Wearing sunscreens, sunblocks, and even GoPro is prohibited as part of environmental protection. The sea breeze is cool, and the mangroves surrounding the area serve as a perfect landscape and backdrop.

How to Get to Sorsogon: By Air: You can book a flight from Manila to Legazpi City Airport in Albay. Then, ride in a jeepney or bus bound for Sorsogon. By Land: In Cubao, Manila, or PITX, take a bus bound for Sorsogon.
