The Malamawi Beach is a hidden paradise and the top tourist spot in Isabela, Basilan. It is a privately owned resort with a long stretch of fine white sand shoreline. The resort has a wide area with open ground covered with grass, coconuts, and other trees, maintaining a relaxing ambience. There are cottages for rent and a function hall. A store and canteen are available inside the resort premises. Also, parking areas are available.
How to Get to Malamawi Island: By Air: Book a flight from Manila to Zamboanga City. Travel time is about an hour and fifteen minutes. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have daily flights to their international airport. Then, I bought a FastCraft Ferry ticket at the port to Isabela City. Lastly, an hour motorcycle ride to the white beach.
