About Tierra Alta Lighthouse

The Tierra Alta Lighthouse, located within the Tierra Alta Residential Resort in Valencia, Negros Oriental, is one of the most picturesque landmarks in the province. Inspired by Greek-Mediterranean architecture, this whitewashed lighthouse stands tall on a hilltop, offering sweeping views of Dumaguete City, the coastline, and the surrounding mountains. Beyond its breathtaking vistas, this place is perfect for a wedding and other gatherings because of its breathtaking scenery, where the natural beauty and the man-made structures are combined with perfection. The lighthouse is comparable to the prominent lighthouse of Batanes, surrounded by well-maintained grass and ornaments.

Before entering Tierra Alta, I paid 50 pesos for the entrance fee for sightseeing. You will enjoy the almost perfect paradise on top of the hill. There's a tantalizing view of the greens surrounding the municipality. With that outstanding view, the ambiance is relaxing due to the fresh and cool wind blowing. Keep your social media apps updated, as you can't stop uploading the beauty of this place.

How to Get to Tierra Alta Lighthouse

By Air: Book a flight to Dumaguete Airport. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have regular flights from Manila to DGT. From the airport, ride a tricycle to the jeepney terminal bound for Valencia. Then, ride a jeepney to Valencia Terminal. Lastly, Charter a motorcycle to Tierra Alta Lighthouse or other tourist destinations.

Summary

A trip to Tierra Alta Lighthouse is more than just sightseeing—it’s about experiencing the best panoramic views Negros Oriental has to offer. Whether you’re capturing photos, attending an event, or simply enjoying the scenery, the lighthouse provides a serene and unforgettable experience. For travelers exploring Valencia, this iconic landmark is a must-visit destination.
