Matukad Island, Caramoan

Matukad Island

About

Matukad Island, one of the crown jewels of Caramoan, Camarines Sur, is a tropical paradise that perfectly captures the beauty of the Philippine islands. Known for its powdery white sand, towering limestone cliffs, and crystal-clear waters, this secluded gem offers an ideal escape for those seeking peace, adventure, and natural charm. Beyond its postcard-worthy beach lies a hidden lagoon and the legendary “Bangus” or milkfish, adding a touch of mystery to the island’s stunning landscape.

We Camped by the Beach of Matukad

Matukad Island

As mentioned above, referring to the mystical creature, according to the locals, two Bangus were said to be living in the lagoon. However, there was someone who caught one of them, and he died. After the story circulated in the area, no one ever touched the remaining bangus in the said lagoon.
