Just got home from the Philippine Travel Mart at SM Mall of Asia Convention Center. I brought everything, like water and food, because I already expected that this event would be a challenging one. I saw thousands of attendees at this travel convention because it will only last for three days.

Why Sirang Lente?

Sirang Lente is a Filipino word which means “a defective lens,” pertaining to my camera lens. I know you’re thinking why I'm writing and proud having such a defective lens, correct? Here’s the reason: it was in 2012 when I started hiking and backpacking. That time, I don’t have anything expensive, like DSLR cameras, to capture high quality photos or even a knowledge in photo editing. What I have were old 5 megapixel Digital camera and a smart phone with 3.2 megapixel camera. They both have cracks on the LCD so I was thinking that they have defective lenses, but upon transferring the photographs to my laptop, images were beautiful. That's when I realized that there could be beauty in defects, it all depends in perspective.

 

I created this blog to list down the beautiful tourist attractions, tourist spots, tourist destinations in all the provinces I visited, upload great photos (must be raw and may not be in high quality) and tell my stories. I may not have perfect grammar but I do believe that: “learning is constant and practice makes permanent!”

For travelers, like me, Social Media is now considered as one of the must haves. I found love with nature and I found happiness with beauty pageants, combining these two and it's Miss Earth. Meeting Kattline Joy Eranes, from Looc, Romblon, the reigning Miss Philippines Earth Romblon 2016 was remarkable. Initially, it was a long chit chat and in the end, I was invited to join them for a shoot For a Cause. The photos below will describe Kattline's advocacy in society. BIR: Guide to Changing or Updating Your RDO

I processed my employment documents that include Pag-Ibig and my tax updates (RDO and Tax Exempt). I have been working for more than five years now, and it's my first time processing these documents, and it's not a good experience. Since I previously worked for a BPO in Mandaluyong City (RDO: 041), I headed to the BIR Office in Boni to have my BIR Form 1905 stamped. Upon submitting to the clerk, he informed me that my record was already with RDO: 43A in Shaw (near SSS and Pag-Ibig), so I rode on MRT from Boni to MRT Shaw, then on Shaw Boulevard, I rode in a jeepney with “Pasig, Palengke” signboard. Get off in front of Pag-Ibig Bldg. (second Stop Light). Crossed the footbridge where BIR is located. Got the queue number from the guard and waited for my turn.

NBI Clearance Renewal Guide (Updated)

I processed my  NBI Clearance yesterday, and the change just came! My original plan yesterday was just to make a payment at LBC in Robinsons Metro East. But since the NBI transaction was OFFLINE, I proceeded to the NBI at the 4th Floor and asked what other payment channels I could choose for payment, and the polite guards said that I could make a payment at the NBI Counter - Step 1, which I did.

Almost a year ago, I cut my precious and beautiful hair. It was a remarkable decision. I gave my hair to a young and stunning lady who turned 18. She is Rochelle, a progeria patient. According to Wikipedia, Progeria is a specific type of progeroid syndrome, also known as Hutchinson–Gilford syndrome or Hutchinson–Gilford progeroid syndrome. A single gene mutation is responsible for causing progeria. The affected gene, known as lamin A, makes a protein necessary for holding the cell nucleus together. In short, it is a rare and fatal genetic condition in children that causes rapid aging.
