Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera, located in the northwesternmost part of the province in Oriental Mindoro, has a perfect combination of fine white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, wealthy marine biodiversity, stunning sunsets, and remarkable nightlife activities. If you're looking for a place with a good combination of beach and underwater experience, then it is the perfect place for you.

Mt. Halcon

It has a combination of long and difficult terrains, a wealthy rain forest, a vast diversity of plants and animals, spooky stories, and unpredictable weather conditions, which can bring a remarkable hiking experience (the reason why it's my hardest). So far, hiking Mt. Halcon in Oriental Mindoro is the toughest. Though this mountain garnered a nine over nine rating in terms of difficulty, it is part of my "list of the must hiked mountains" because of its hidden and majestic beauty.

Sabang, Puerto Galera

Our group, Batang Hamog Mountaineers, usually makes sure to participate in any Freedom-related activities to celebrate the freedom that was proclaimed on June 12, 1898. This year, to be out of our comfort zone, we organized a Freedom Dive held in Sabang, Puerto Galera, Province of Oriental Mindoro, which is one of the best diving spots in the Philippines. We all know that the Philippines is composed of more than seven thousand islands and is surrounded by water, so scuba diving is just one of the most tried water activities.

1. White Beach, Puerto Galera

White Beach is an area near the crowded center of Puerto Galera, one of the island's most popular destinations. If you just want to relax on a beach with fine white sand and cool, crystal-clear water, you can find it here. The area has a gorgeous landscape because of the trees by the beach. The serenity of this island is still maintained, so you can have a relaxing day tour.

Dulangan River

The Dulangan River is one of the cleanest rivers in the country. Situated on the terrains of Mt. Halcon, Mindoro, which is said to be one of the most difficult mountains to hike in the Philippines.
