Almost a year ago, I cut my precious and beautiful hair. It was a remarkable decision. I gave my hair to a young and stunning lady who turned 18. She is Rochelle, a progeria patient. According to Wikipedia, Progeria is a specific type of progeroid syndrome, also known as Hutchinson–Gilford syndrome or Hutchinson–Gilford progeroid syndrome. A single gene mutation is responsible for causing progeria. The affected gene, known as lamin A, makes a protein necessary for holding the cell nucleus together. In short, it is a rare and fatal genetic condition in children that causes rapid aging.
