About Kanidugan Festival
Kanidugan Festival (Coconut Festival derived from a word “Nidog” or Niyog in Filipino or Coconut in English) it’s an annual festival celebrated in April, the foundation day of Odiongan, and to honour Saint Vincent Ferrer (the patron saint of Odiongan, Romblon). Photos below were taken during the parade and ground demonstration in the OSCES open ground.
How to Get Here
Tablas Airport is the gateway to the province by plane from Manila to the airport located in the Municipality of Alcantara, Romblon. Then, you can ride in a public utility vehicle to Odiongan. Travel time would be less than 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Batiano Port is also the gateway to Odiongan. From Manila, you can ride any Provincial Bus station to Batangas Port, Terminal 3. In Terminal 3, you can buy tickets bound for Odiongan. I suggest you take Montenegro Lines; they have schedules every 5 PM every day. 2Go is also available. Travel time would be 6 to 8 hours.
