The Capitol, Sultan Kudarat Top Tourist Spot

The provincial capitol of Sultan Kudarat is situated in Isulan and according to reviews, it is one of the most beautiful capitols in the Philippines - it's definitely a big YES for me. The capitol compound is 9.2 hectares covered with well maintained landscape, while the artistic structures is based on Islamic architecture, painted with white and gold. On the other hand, in the middle of the capitol ground, there's a gigantic golden statue of Sultan Kudarat whom the province was named after.

Just to compare, above is the provincial capitol of Zamboanga Sibugay. Among the provincial capitols I've visited, these two are on top. Now, "I only have one photo in my hand and this photo represents the best capitol building in the Philippines, so who could it be?" I am leaving that difficult job to you.

My mandatory selfie.

From Lake Sebu, I rode in a van to Surallah terminal. Then, another van ride to Isulan, the capital of Sultan Kudarat. The capitol compound is a walking distance from Isulan terminal. READ: 9 Days Solo-Backpacking in Sarangani Province, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Agusan del Sur, and Davao City.
