About Bukidnon
The Province of Bukidnon has a lot of tourist spots and destinations to offer. If you're into high altitude, Mt. Kitanglad, Mt. Dulang-Dulang, and Mt. Maagnaw are just three of the must-hiked mountains in the province. If you want a combination of relaxation and extreme, Dahilayan Adventure Park is the perfect spot. And, if you just wish to eat, the province is the fruit basket of Mindanao, so you can visit the Del Monte pineapple plantation or just simply go to the public market; for sure, they have everything.

My Solo-Backpacking Itinerary
This is Day 3 – 7 Days Solo-Backpacking in Mindanao - Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Lanao del Sur (BARMM)
Google Maps helped a lot in monitoring my location. In Malaybalay City, I alighted near Jollibee and Gaisano Mall and walked to Green Ridge Apartelle. There are tricycles, but I chose to walk to familiarize myself with the streets. Checked in at Green Ridge Apartelle. Settled my things. Relaxed for 30 minutes, headed back to the highway, and rode in a jeepney to two of the hidden spots in the city, the Nasuli Cold Spring and Matin-aw Cold Spring. A habal-habal is needed to visit these spots because they are located in a remote area and an adjacent location to the highway. Visitors can enjoy the area's cool, fresh, and relaxing ambiance. Plus, you can make tampisaw into the crystal clear waters.
For the locals, it's a prominent place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, but a few travelers and backpackers know about its hidden beauty. This place is definitely a natural cold spring with cool and crystal clear waters that can quench your body heat. Not only that, this resort in Malaybalay City is surrounded by trees, plants, and flowers, which preserve nature's tranquility and create a relaxing ambiance. To sum all, the landscape of this spring resort is picture-perfect and can be considered as one of the must-visit attractions in Bukidnon.
After my visit, the same habal driver, we headed back to the highway, where I rode in a jeepney back to the city proper. Had an early dinner at Gaisano and bought some food. Then, walked on the streets back to Green Ridge. Bathed. Rested.

The Green Ridge Apartelle is near the Capitol compound. So, early in the morning, using Google Maps, I had my walking tour at the Capitol building and to Kaamulan Park and Zoo, where I met the animals I usually see online and on TV. The area is surrounded by greens, the breeze is cool, the air is fresh, and the landscape is Instagrammable. The perfect time to visit Kaamulan Park and Zoo is in the morning, and the entrance fee is free.
Kaamulan Park and Zoo is definitely the most relaxing part of my travel in Malaybalay City. This government-owned park offers an outstanding and remarkable experience to all visitors. Why not? Inside Kaamulan, the wind is fresh, the temperature is cool, and the ambiance is relaxing because of the greens that surround the area. The landscape is clean and well-maintained; thus, the entire area is picture-perfect - a perfect place to bond with your loved ones.
From Green Ridge Apartelle, still using Google Maps, I walked on the streets to the bus terminal, where I rode a bus to Davao City (Ecoland Terminal). Malaybalay City is highly urbanized, so no worries about transportation and places to stay. Also, people are friendly and good at providing instructions.
