It may not be a grand tourist attraction, but its peaceful setting and historical significance make it a great addition to your Catbalogan itinerary, especially if you’re visiting nearby landmarks like the Samar Provincial Capitol, Saint Bartholomew Church, and the Unique Jose Rizal Statue.
History
Doña Paz Park is named after Doña Paz Montaño, a historical figure known within the heritage narratives of Catbalogan. Through redevelopment efforts, the park has become a communal space where residents gather for relaxation, small events, early morning exercise, and family visits.
