Mindanao is the second largest island in the Philippine Archipelago, composed of 27 provinces, and situated in the Southern part of the country. Since I was young, if I hear Mindanao, my mind automatically gives a negative description like fear, battle, chaos, abduction, NPA, MILF, MNLF, political problem and etc. News is a huge factor in that mindset.
