A trip to Angono, Rizal, isn’t complete without dining at Balaw-Balaw Restaurant, a unique culinary and cultural destination. Known for its exotic dishes, traditional Filipino favorites, and artistic ambiance, the restaurant offers guests a one-of-a-kind experience that blends food, folklore, and art.
I am not into cooking, but I love eating, so I would like to share our amazing encounter with exotic foods at Balaw Balaw Restaurant in Angono, Rizal. This happened after enjoying the famous Higantes Festival; while our clothes were wet, we headed to this special restaurant.

More than just a place to eat, Balaw-Balaw Restaurant is a celebration of Angono’s rich heritage and creativity. With every dish and artwork, it gives visitors a true taste of culture, making it a must-visit stop for food lovers and travelers alike.
How to Get to Balaw-Balaw
Going to Balaw-Balaw is simple, but challenging traffic. At EDSA Central, you can take a Bingangon-bound jeepney or FX. Confirm or ensure that it will take the Highway, not the Floodway route. Then, alight at the corner of Doña Justa Subdivision and the Highway. In Cubao, you can ride in a jeepney with an Angono signboard and alight at the same place.
