About Binurong Point
Binurong Point in Baras, Catanduanes, is one of the most breathtaking coastal destinations in the Philippines, known for its rolling green hills that meet the roaring waves of the Pacific Ocean. Often compared to Batanes for its scenic cliffs and panoramic views, this hidden gem offers a peaceful escape for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers craving raw, untouched beauty.
Binurong Point is an open, wide area with panoramic views of the Pacific, gorgeous rolling hills, and a spectacular sunset. Why should you include this place on your must-visit list in Bicol? Why not? it has a cool and relaxing ambiance with a cool sea breeze, the slopes of the hills were perfectly shaped by nature, there are gigantic rock formations, and the calming sound of the waves can make your day a lazy day. This area is definitely a perfect spot for photo shoots, especially those pre-nups, because it is so romantic.

Trails and Entrance Fee
It is mandatory to have a tour guide during the ascent. Though the trail is simple and well established, it features a mix of uphill and downhill sections, passing through banana plantations and forest. Guide Fee: minimum of 200 pesos. Environmental Fee: 20 pesos per head.

Getting Around Catanduanes
There are jeepneys, vans, and tricycles you can charter to visit the stunning tourist attractions in the province. In our case, to go to Binurong, at Puraran Surf Camp, or by the gate of Puraran Beach, we met and chartered Kuya Arthur, a very friendly and accommodating trike driver stationed at the carinderia. The tricycle fee is 500 pesos.
