Hiking Mt. Romelo and rappelling the Buruwisan Falls was fun and amazing experience because the area has rich bio-diversity, both flora and fauna. There is a body of water that flows on its terrain, thus, this mountain has a high concentration of trees and other plants. It can bring a good combination of adventure and relaxation. Having said that, Laguna, together with the provinces of Batangas and Cavite, makes the region the center for outdoor activities.
Biliran has a wide forested area where breathtaking waterfalls are hidden, one of these is Tinago Falls. Its name is derived from a Filipino word “tinago” which literally translates to “hidden” in English. Well, it is not hidden anymore because its beauty already captured the eyes and attention of countless tourists and visitors online. This falls is one of the must-visit waterfalls in Kaibiran because there's an unlimited flow of crystal clear and cool waters, and the pressure of the water falling is perfect for a whole body massage. The ambiance is cool and relaxing. it is surrounded by enormous rocks and boulders with trees on the side. Other waterfalls in Biliran that can be visited are the Recoletos Falls and Condol Falls.
Mararison or Malalison is a gorgeous Island. Before it became prominent and captured the eyes of travellers and tourists worldwide, it started as a fisherman's island, an island where the locals live using their boats and nets as their primary livelihood. Today, this island is open to everyone to discover and experience what it can offer.
There's too much chaos on the roads of the Metro, so searching for deserted places with a picture perfect landscape is now a norm. With the gorgeous and stunning photos scattered on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, it is now easy to promote, search and catch a glimpse of places to visit in the Philippines. If I would suggest places in Luzon, the provinces in the Cordillera region are on the top. Been here a few times and I noticed that it is one of the favorite destinations of countless international and local tourists. Who says no to a place with a big picture of a so called paradise. There's healthy forest with fresh air, cool and relaxing ambiance, pristine lagoons, colorful flora and fauna, and has a cool weather with no heavy traffic and no cellular signal perfect for bonding.
During our Mt. Kalisungan and Mt. Mabilog hikes, Bunga Twin Falls was our side trip and post climb destination. The ambiance in the area is cool and relaxing because it is surrounded by trees, coconuts and other plans. Its name, Bunga Falls, was derived from the "bunga" plant or "beetle nut" in English; that was many years ago when the area was still abundant with this plant. Today, this twin falls is definitely one of the summer destinations in Laguna.
Casaroro Falls is the must visit and the top tourist attraction in Valencia, Negros Oriental. Situated outside the city, it is a 20-30 minutes travel from Dumaguete City. This beautiful waterfalls stands 100 feet and is surrounded by luscious greens and healthy vegetation. Because of its height, the fresh and cool water falling creates a relaxing-rushing-sound harmonized with the birds lullabies and wind blowing the trees.
As I've been telling on my Laguna posts, this province has a lot to offer. Today, I am bringing you to one of the majestic waterfalls of Laguna. Buntot Palos Falls, others call it "the hidden falls," is the grandest waterfalls in Southern Luzon as it stands 80 meters with a high amount of water falling. It's name literally translates to "Eel's Tail" in English because, according to our guide, the trails to the falls is a long, curvy and slippery, similar to Eels's body or Palos in Filipino. Did you know that it has a hidden feature? It is a cave beneath the water falls, so passing through the water is needed.
