Davao del Norte Tourist Spots

1. Isla Reta, Talikud Island

Talikud Island is located in Samal, Davao del Norte. This is a paradise in the region that bears fine white sand beaches and is surrounded by emerald and crystal clear water. On the other hand, the underwater has a sanctuary of colorful flora and fauna. The shoreline is landscaped with trees and quaint cottages. The ambiance was made perfect because of the cool wind blowing. We didn't do anything for a couple of hours, just staring at its beauty and golden sunset.

Stunning photo of Nasuli Cold Spring.
The Province of Bukidnon has a lot of tourist spots and destinations to offer. If you're into high altitude, Mt. Kitanglad, Mt. Dulang-Dulang, and Mt. Maagnaw are just three of the must hiked mountains in the province. If you want a combination of relaxation and extreme, Dahilayan Adventure Park is the perfect spot. And, if you just wish to eat, the province is the fruit basket of Mindanao, so you can visit the Del Monte pineapple plantation or just simply go to the public market, for sure they have everything.

Misamis Oriental Itinerary, Backpacking in Region 10, 11, BARMM

Cagayan de Oro City is the capital of Misamis OrientalThe thrilling white water rafting is the main attraction and destination in the city, but did you know that they are also known as the "City of the Golden Friendship?" Though there's a language barrier, they are the city of friendship because I was able to experience such hospitality from the jeepney driver and the taho vendor I met. By the way, nothing special happened during my stay here. Since it's the center of Northern Mindanao, transportation to my next destination (Bukidnon) is not a problem. It is also the gateway to the provinces of Camiguin, BukidnonAgusanand the city of Davao.

Lanao del Norte, Backpacking in Mindanao (Regions 10 & 11)

A stunning photo of Tinago Falls

Tinago Falls hides in the mountainous area of Iligan, Lanao del Norte. Among the waterfalls in the Philippines, it is one of the must-visit because of the beauty it possesses. Not only that, there are historical sites, lakes, and cold springs that can also be visited. Let's not forget that the province has a rich history and colorful culture because the locals have a good combination of Muslim, Christian, and other Minorities.

Pulang Bato Falls

Pulang Bato Falls is a 30-foot waterfall with a unique picturesque because the limestone walls by the water are covered with red due to sulfur deposits. By the way, its name literally translates to "red rock" in English. This waterfall is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, including the man-made hanging bridge and colourful ornaments. It is one of the top tourist spots in Valencia, Negros Oriental.

Cambugahay Falls

It is a 3-tiered waterfall with free-flowing, cool, crystal-clear waters. The area surrounding Cambugahay Falls has luscious greens that create a relaxing ambience. If you want a thrilling experience, try the prominent "Tarzan swing." Get a water massage! Water rafts can be rented, with a local, to go to the spot where the waters are falling. Brace yourself because the sound of the rushing water will make your day a lazy day. Also, locals are great photographers.

HAGONOY ISLAND, Surigao del Sur - a 2024 Travel Guide

Hagonoy Island

Be transformed as you meditate at the garden of vines that heals every soul’s weary at the Hagonoy Island – that’s their slogan here. This islet is really small, just a hundred meters long or maybe less but has a fine white sand shore and surrounded by crystal clear waters. Hagonoy is an islet with few coconuts and trees, so expect for a darker skin tone after your visit because of the sun rays. It is the cutest among Britania Group of Islets.

Danao Adventure Park

Danao Adventure Park

The Plunge, or a canyon swing, is an extreme activity now climbing to be one of the top tourist spots and destinations in Danao, Bohol. Situated in the area where the longest Philippine Revolutionary Movement took place, led by Francisco Dagohoy, a Boholano hero. The boulders and limestone formations in the area might have witnessed the most important stage of how these Boholano heroes plotted the revolution against the Spaniards. Today, the facility is being run by the local government, and it is a center of eco-tourism, recreation, and adventure in the province awaiting discovery.

Alubihod Beach

Alubihod Beach
The white sand shoreline of Alubihod Beach.

After Trappist Monastery, we headed to Alubihod Beach in Nueva Valencia. Travelling to this gorgeous beach via habal is easy because the roads are all concrete. I was welcomed by the courteous staff of Raymen Beach Resort. Settled the entrance fee and walked to the beach area. The shoreline is pretty in its own way. The picturesque is Instagram-worthy because of the rock formation highlighted by the creamy white sand with corals and pebbles. The ambience by the beach is relaxing because the sea breeze is cool.

Guisi Lighthouse

Touching the walls of Guisi Lighthouse or Faro de Punta Luzaran is the most exciting part of my backpacking in Guimaras. It is the second oldest lighthouse in the Philippines, lighted up for the first time in 1894. This structure was erected in the 18th century to guide the mariners passing by the waters of Ilo-Ilo and Guimaras. Its structure is made of metal from France, tisa from Portugal, and cement from England. Based on the ruins, the floor plan is similar to Burgos Lighthouse in Ilocos Norte and the Cape EngaƱo Lighthouse in Palaui Island. Today, the thick walls are covered with mosses and plants, and the rusty metal lighthouse remains erect. The ambiance in the area is relaxing because of the cool sea breeze.
