Before, according to Philippine Tandem Paragliding, they are flying with an average of 10% local tourists per day, while the rest are foreign tourists. Today, the majority are local, possible reasons? COVID-19 protocols, Filipinos are staying at home and want something new, and the effect of "Crash Landing on You." Nevertheless, if you want something heart-pounding and extreme, this activity is highly recommended.
History
The practice of paragliding in Carmona began in the early 2000s when pioneering Filipino free-flight enthusiasts and international expat pilots surveyed the wind dynamics along the ridge of Mount Paliparan. The natural topography formed ideal ridge-soaring currents and thermal lift conditions, turning Carmona into an official training and recreational flysite.
Over the years, organizations like the Air Sports Federation of the Philippines and local flight clubs formalized safety protocols, established designated launch pads, and introduced professional tandem flight operations. Today, Carmona stands alongside San Mateo (Rizal) and Sarangani as one of the country's main hubs for recreational free-flight sports and pilot training.

The most popular launch site is in Carmona, Indang, Cavite, or Amadeo, depending on wind conditions. These locations offer a beautiful backdrop of mountains, coffee farms, and rolling hills. The take-off point is usually coordinated by a certified paragliding group or tour operator. Not really sure about commuting, but our friend drove for us using Waze.
