Bohol is one of the top tourist destinations in the Visayas region because of the stunning "chocolate hills" and the weird-looking primate called "tarsier;" these are just two of those in the limelight. As we dig deeper, there are a lot of gems that the province can offer. Historical landmarks and old churches are always part of the itinerary, but during summer or even rainy season, the fine white sand beaches and the beauty of the flora and fauna underwater became top of the list of the must seen. In addition to that, there are extreme activities that can be tried, like the Top 1 on my list - THE PLUNGE of Danao Adventure Camp, situated in the Municipality of Danao.
Bohol: List of Tourist Spots, How to Get Here, and Where to stay
The cheap, clean and organized room at Danao Adventure Park.
At the DAO Terminal or Island City Mall terminal in Tagbilaran City, I rode in a van bound for Danao and alighted at Danao Poblacion. Travel time was about 2 hours. Then, rode on a motorcycle to Danao Adventure Park. It was almost 5 PM when I arrived, so had no choice but to check in at one of their fan rooms (photo above). Rested and had dinner.

The next day is the most awaited day. Had a coffee and a very light breakfast. When the activity area opened at 8 AM, from my room, I walked on the concrete road and headed directly to THE PLUNGE platform. The activity facilitators greeted and encouraged me to do THE PLUNGE. I didn't feel any pressure, so I tried it without any hesitation.
After the activity, tidy up and packed my stuff. When I checked out, the reception gave a certificate for performing THE PLUNGE. They also contacted a habal driver who brought me to the van terminal bound for Tagbilaran City. Had lunch at Island City Mall and proceeded to GV Hotel.
As always, using Google Map, I walked on the streets of Tagbilaran City to the National Museum, the perfect place to witness and discover the past of the province. In 2013, after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake, the old Provincial Capitol Building was opened as the National Museum. The building itself is a work of art made decades ago, so it is a perfect place to restore and preserve their Cultural Treasures. In front of the museum is Plaza Rizal and the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral.
I wasn't able to go to a countryside tour due to limited time. I met Kuya Richard, a tourist driver. He can bring you to the destinations usually included in a countryside tour, such as: Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Sanctuary, Butterfly Conservation Center, Bilar Man-Made Forest, Loboc Floating Restaurants and Loboc Church, Blood Compact Shrine, and many other destinations. You can contact Kuya Richard Luza on Ph: 09474290830.

In Tagbilaran City, I stayed at GV Hotel for 700 pesos overnight with single bed, shower, TV, WiFi and AC.
From Manila, you can take a direct flight to Tagbilaran. At the airport's arrival area, you can take a shuttle to ICM Terminal (Island City Mall). To Danao, at the same terminal, you can ride in a van bound for Danao and alight in Poblacion. If you are going to any point in Tagbilaran City, you can charter a tricycle.
